Imagine that one day, out on the street, you run into an old friend of yours. A friend that you remember having intelligent conversations with about life. The warmth and generosity of ideas flood back to you. And so, you decide to go to the nearest cafe, share a coffee with him and relive those ideas once again. This is how this film feels to me. ‘The End of the Tour’ (2015) follows a Rolling Stone reporter who assignment is to interview the famous novelist and writer; David Foster Wallace. The film is a collage of pleasant exchange of opinions and thoughts. Smartly subtle in its approach, the story is a study of humans trapped in this profound landscape of unexplored territory of thoughts and human conflicts.
